FIELD: powder metallurgy, charge compositions for production of porous permeable material with given average size of pores by method of self-spreading high-temperature synthesis. SUBSTANCE: charge has: ferrous scale 39.0 - 44.0 mass %, aluminum oxide 35.0 - 43.0 mass %, aluminum - balance. Components were dosed in given ratio and dry mixed in the air atmosphere in laboratory mixer of "drunk barrel" type by 200 g portions for four hours. Produced samples of charge were placed in quartz moulds and reactions of self-spreading high-temperature synthesis were initiated in them by short time heat pulse. Samples of porous permeable material made in the form of cylindrical small bars with 50 mm diameter and 60 mm height were used for determination of material characteristics. Average sizes of pores in produced material were enlarged as compared with average sizes of pores in material based on charge-prototype by 20 - 32 % under maximum deviation of pores distribution density from average size of no more than 15 %. EFFECT: expanded sphere of produced porous permeable material usage, decreased cost of production of the charge based pieces.
