FIELD: equipment for manufacture of structural clay products (bricks, tiles), particular, devices for preparation of ceramic mixture for molding by its blending, processing and cleaning from foreign impurities, if needed. SUBSTANCE: the offered clay mixer has two paddle shafts, auger forcing member and filtering grate installed in trough. Auger forcing member is mounted on one of two paddle shafts, its auger is assembled of two sections - cylindrical and adapting conical ones. The latter has length which is not less than diameter of circumferences described by blades, and ratio of diameters at inlet and outlet of adapting conical section is, at least, 1.2. In processing of high-viscosity ceramic mixture, adapting conical section is supplemented with cylindrical auger insert mounted in trough and having length not smaller than the half of diameter of circumference described by paddles, and baffle paddle is installed on adjacent paddle shaft in zone of conjugation with auger insert.
