FIELD: production of sorption materials, particular, methods for production of cellulose-containing granulated sorbent for absorption of liquids and devices for their embodiment. SUBSTANCE: the offered method makes use of cellulose- containing raw material with density of 0.3-0.6 g/cu.cm and moisture content of 6.25%. It is ground to obtain particles sizing 0.7-4.5 mm, and ground raw material with layer height of 0.2-0.5 m is subjected to air separation in suspended state at air current velocity in a layer of separated material of 2.0-4.0 m/s for 10-30 min. The device for embodiment of the offered method has cyclone 12 and classifier 27. Separator 14 is of cylinder-conical shape and provided with sectional mixer 16 and jet nozzle in its conical part. Charging inlet 13 is located in separator cover and has sluice gate 15 connected with cyclone 12. Discharging outlet 25 is located in the separator bottom part and connected with classifier 27.
