FIELD: wood processing. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water and acid hydrolysis of wood and acidic inversion of aqueous and acidic hydrolyzates. Method includes introducing additive in the first step of hydrolysis, additive being 0.03-0.25% yeast autolyzate. The latter is produced from biomass of bakery, feed, or excessive alcohol yeast with simultaneously heating yeast at 48-55 C and adding reagents initiating yeast autolysis.
