FIELD: oil and gas industry; devices for holding tubing string at round-trip operations. SUBSTANCE: device has booster for fixing position of wedge members which is provided with foot pedal actuator made in the form of two pedals. First of these pedals is kinematically connected with suspension unit, and second pedal is connected with first pedal by rope reeved through pulley attached to body. Kinematic link of first pedal with suspension unit is effected by means of double-arm lever. One arm of lever is connected with upper rod of first pedal guide member, and other arm is made with fork which is pivotally connected with suspension unit. This unit is provided with guide rods, and mounted on their ends are carriages with wheels which are kept in contact with additional guide members in body. Carriages interact with working protrusions of spring-loaded levers of fixing boosters of wedge members, thus allowing for creating force on wedge members towards wedging and for holding suspension unit in upper position which corresponds to released position of tubing string.
