SUBSTANCE: device includes body, centralizer, bushings for slips installed between motion limiters and interconnected by means of hinge suspensions with holders, clamp of kelly with inserts, lifting strips with limiters of their stroke, ring, lever and power cylinder. Kelly clamp is designed for embracing side surface of bushings which are connected with centralizer and body by means of pinned and bolted joints. Kelly clamp is made of , at least, two parts interconnected by hinge joints. In this case, inserts and joints are located between bushings. EFFECT: simplified and reduced in weight and compact design, extended range of handled pipes, reduced wear, higher convenience and safety of work, more compact design of closed tongs. 5 cl, 15 dwg
