METHOD FOR TREATING CHRONIC INFLAMMATORY DISEASES OF PANCREAS Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: medicine; surgery. SUBSTANCE: proposed method employs all universally accepted procedures for treating chronic pancreatitis. Inventive novelty of method resides in additionally making lumbar puncture on both sides of disease focus, followed by introducing into parapancreatic cellular tissue patient's autoblood pre-treated by ultraviolet rays and containing, as additive, anticoagulant, such as, e.g. heparin. Complex use of proposed method within general framework of conservative therapy makes it possible to improve rheology in pancreas by developing by-pass blood circulation due to formation of microvascular blood path through paranephral cellular tissue, thereby permitting to check processes of substituting pancreas tissues with connecting tissue, to alleviate pancreatitis course, to shorten period of temporary incapacity to work, to prevent disability. EFFECT: better results in treatment of chronic pancreatitis.
