FIELD: chemical-pharmaceutical industry, antibiotics. SUBSTANCE: ampicillin sodium salt is prepared by interaction of ampicillin trihydrate with alkaline agent, dissolving sulbactam sodium salt at ratio = 2:1 followed by sterilizing filtration and sublimating drying the preparation solution in small bottles. Solution is subjected for the rapid freezing up to (-50)-(-40) C for 0.5-3.0 h, exposition at this temperature for at least 2 h, sublimating drying the frozen solution for at least 1 h without heating followed by plate heating up to product temperature 25-30 C, exposition at this temperature for 2-6 h. EFFECT: improved method of preparing, improved quality of product.
