FIELD: mechanical engineering, particular, designs of grinding machines intended for centerless grinding of contours of dosing edges of splined shaft of valve of power steering gear. SUBSTANCE: the offered grinding machine has tool-carrying spindle designed for carrying cylindrical grinding wheel whose working surface is parallel to the axis of machined shaft, and grinding wheel width is preset in compliance with the width of contour of dosing edge. Means for registering and fastening of the shaft to be ground include pressing-down members for pressing the work at right angle to the working surface of grinding wheel and body with two pairs of supporting stops. In this case, stops of one pair are located on the body on both sides of grinding wheel, and the stops of the pair are displaced in axial direction at right angle to the first pair. In so doing, means of registering and fastening of the shaft to be ground are connected with work spindle installed in support and is engageable by means of kinematic train with grinding machine motor and means for lift and advance of the shaft to be ground to grinding zone.
