FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: gallium smelt is treated with inert gas-based gas mixtures containing vapors of chemical reagents. Process is conducted by way of continuous closed circulation of smelt with temperature difference along the smelt course from 40-60 to 100-400 C. Gas mixtures are ejected at 60-100 C with simultaneously filtering smelt at 40-60 C to attain constancy in active component concentration in gas mixture. Apparatus contains flow circuit including pump, accessory, heaters, filter by-pass, and ejector by- pass. Method can be utilized in electronic industry. EFFECT: improved procedure. 4 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
