FIELD: production of amorphous porous aluminium oxide. SUBSTANCE: hallium-aluminium melt with aluminium concentration of (1-5)•10-3 wt % is treated with mixture based on inert or low activity gas with steam having steam concentration of 1-30 vol % at 50-120 C for 2-100 h. The resulting morphous aluminium hydro oxide is heat treated in the air at 300-900 C. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 2 tbl
