FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method includes pressing of porous blanks, internal oxidation, caking, calibration, and high- temperature annealing. In the method, powders with particle size 2-7 mcm are used, pressure 1.5-2.3 Tl/sq.cm, oxidation temperature 280- 400 C, and final annealing temperature 860-900 C. Method makes it possible to increase wear-resistance of contacts and eliminate interpolar links resulting in about 50% prolonged service life of actuators with the same amount of silver, or to reduce contact weight by a factor about 1.5. EFFECT: improved performance characteristics of contact. 1 tbl
