FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: porous blanks of contacts from silver-cadmium alloy powder with 2 to 7-mkm particles are placed on trays in a single row, covered with powder of aluminium oxides or nitrides, placed in an oven and subjected to internal oxidation, then the contacts are repressed, sintered and sized. The method provides for elimination of interpole frashover and increase of wear resistance. EFFECT: enhanced switching durability of contacts. 1 tbl
