FIELD: power engineering, transport engineering and chemical engineering; combustion chambers. SUBSTANCE: circular swirling jet 2 of diameter d is formed from air flow 1 in section 1-1. Fuel 3 is fed to this jet which is then burnt in flame 4. Stabilization on flame is effected by near-axis recirculating zone 5 formed by swirling air jet. After partial burning of fuel, air jets 6 are additionally fed to recirculating zone at distance of 0.7-2.5 of initial diameters of swirling jet from its beginning (in section 11-11) as that total excess air coefficient in combustion zone should range from 1.9 to 2.4. EFFECT: reduced temperature of gases in recirculating zone; enhanced completeness of combustion and reduced emission of nitric oxides. 1 dwg
