FIELD: fuel-combustion installations. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for use on gas-turbine plants and can be applied in power, transport, and chemical machine-building. In a known method, fuel is burned with preliminary dividing air stream into separate jets and feeding fuel into these jets followed by feeding fuel-air jets into axisymmetric half-closed space at an angle to its axis to form, in closed end of half-closed space, toroidal vortex-type flow where stream in axis zone is directed toward closed end of half- closed space. According to invention, fuel is preliminarily mixed with air to form homogeneous mixture with coefficient of air excess α > 1.6 and mixture is then fed in the form of jets into submerged half-closed space. When above-indicated coefficient is superior to 2.4, at least part of fuel is fed into submerged half-closed space with no preliminary mixing with air, and jets are fed from the side of closed end of space into paraxial zone of toroidal vortex-type flow. EFFECT: reduced toxicity of combustion products and extended burning stability range. 1 dwg
