FIELD: gas-turbine plants; power engineering; mechanical engineering; chemical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed method of burning fuel includes dividing air flow into separate jets followed by supplying these jets in axisymmetrical semi-bounded (with one closed end) submersible space in such way that air velocity in each jet is directed to axis of said space; fuel is preliminarily fed to air jets and is mixed with air forming homogeneous lean fuel-and-air mixture; air jets are preliminarily divided into groups and fuel is fed to one or more groups of air jets; each subsequent group of jets of fuel-and-air mixture is fed to said space at end of burning-out of fuel-and-air mixture of previous group of jets. Delivery of fuel to groups of air jets is discontinued successively when consumption of fuel is reduced and excess air coefficient is increased; when consumption of fuel is increased and excess air coefficient is decreased, part of fuel is fed in succession to groups of air jet which are closest to jets of fuel- and-air mixture.
