FIELD: food industry, inspection of alcohol products. SUBSTANCE: characteristic absorption lines of ethanol are determined a priori, spectral dependence of light absorption in water-and-alcohol solution is measured as well as vicinities of "dip" in characteristic and depth of "dip" is found. Then concentration of solution is calculated on basis if starting and obtained data. Updated acousto-optical spectrometer spectrally matched to characteristic absorption spectrum is used for implementation of method. Usage of low sensitivity low-noise photodiodes in receiving part contributes to reduction of measurement error. EFFECT: reduced measurement error. 2 cl, 2 dwg
