FIELD: medical engineering; postoperative monitoring of patients affected with congenital muscular torticollis; prophylaxis and treatment of post-burn cicatrical contractures. SUBSTANCE: proposed apparatus comprises supporting element made in form of plate having cusps, patient's head holder consisting of one horizontal and one vertical arcs, supporting element plate and horizontal arc of head holder being interconnected by controlling-and-adjusting mechanism in form of telescopic rod resting on spherical supports. Controlling-and-adjusting mechanism, supporting element and head holder are made adjustable length-wise and volume-wise, respectively. Proposed apparatus makes it possible to fix head and neck in any position in relation to thorax without using for this purpose gypsum for different age groups of children; it facilitates hygienic nursing of patients and makes possible to prevent and to treat post-burn cicatrical contractures by forming elastic postoperative cicatrices. EFFECT: useful aid in orthopedics. 2 cl, 3 dwg
