FIELD: cutting materials. SUBSTANCE: method comprises charging fiber in the chamber for cutting and loading the fiber from above that allows the fiber to be cut. The bottom of the cutting chamber is made up as a set of parallel knives. Before cutting the fiber is oriented parallel to the surface that passes through the edges of the knives and are compacted with a speed as high as 0.58 m/c. The height of the layer of the fiber in the cutting chamber is as much as 2.5 of the minimum size of the cross-section of the cutting chamber. The force exerted on the layer by the unit of length of the knife does not exceed 3•10⁴H/m N/m. EFFECT: simplified method. 2 dwg
