FIELD: chemical, textile and light industries; forming drawing, rewinding and subsequent processing of chemical fiber and thread. SUBSTANCE: device has winding surface made preferably in form of spool, spool holder and drive. Mechanism to change angular position of winding surface plays also the part of traversing mechanism and can be provided with device to regulate speed of change of angular position of winding surface. Mechanism can be furnished with at least one additional drive with rod connected with spool holder with at least one angular degree of freedom relative to drive.
