FIELD: chemical, textile and light industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has at least one pair of movable and immovable twisting members axially aligned one relative to another so as to define thread receiving space. Twisting members have surfaces of rotation. Movable twisting member has surface of rotation provided with circumferential equally spaced channels oriented along portion or full area of generatrix of surface of rotation of this twisting member. Apparatus may have two pairs of twisting members with rotating members rotating in opposite directions.
