FIELD: organic chemistry, biochemistry, and medicine. SUBSTANCE: in order to obtain tritium traced aliphatic haloacids having C3-Cn, reaction of isotopic exchange between hydrogen atoms of suitable aliphatic chloric acid is carried out with gaseous tritium in the presence of 10% pd/c catalyst at 135-165 C for 15-25 mixtures at catalyst to substance ratio of (4.5-5.0):1 ng/mg. If desired, chlorine is substituted for other halogens in the resulting tritium traced chloric acid. To this end, said acid is heated with corresponding sodium halide at 70-80 C for 25-35 minutes in acetone at chloric acid to sodium halide to acetone ratio of (2.0-2.5):(30-35):500 mcmole/mcmole/mcl ratio. EFFECT: more preparation process. 1 tbl
