FIELD: chemical industry, more particularly cleaning of converted gas to remove carbon dioxide resulting from ammonia production. SUBSTANCE: process of monoethanol amine is carried out in two stages in the presence of aqueous potassium nitrite solution added in certain amount in the second dispersion stage. The claimed process makes it possible to reduce MEA losses due to more efficient regeneration of some by- products. EFFECT: more efficient cleaning process. 1 tbl
