FIELD: automation of processes; synthetic rubber production. SUBSTANCE: process is controlled by way of monitoring and stabilizing inlet streams' intake, measuring consumption of initiator on each polymerization battery, and stabilizing relationship between intakes of aqueous phase, initiator, and hydrocarbon blend. In this case, one additionally measures concentration of diluted aqueous phase, initiator concentration, concentration of water in initiator, concentration of concentrated aqueous phase, dilute aqueous phase intake, summary initiator consumption on each polymerization battery, weight part of water, that of aqueous phase dry residue, that of initiator added to hydrocarbon blend, predetermined dilute aqueous phase concentration value, and the same of dilute aqueous phase intake. Then, one forms control actions in respect to regulator of intake of initiator added to hydrocarbon blend and to softened water intake regulator; corrects control action in respect to the latter; forms control actions in respect to concentrated aqueous phase intake regulator; determines deviations of weight parts of water, dry residue of aqueous phase, and initiator from predetermined values; forms and transmits the alarm signal to signaling device if deviation of any parameter from predetermined value exceeds acceptable value.
