FIELD: design of shelter of aluminum electrolyzer and supply of alumina into electrolyte. SUBSTANCE: the offered device is made in form of cantilever installed on cathode casing or near it and provided with inclined wall forming bin together with anode jacket or external of bell-shaped gas collector. Cantilever may be made of separate sections installed over perimeter of electrolyzer and dismantled for opening of electrolyzer. Alumina is supplied to electrolyte at any motion of anode. Rate of alumina supply is regulated by the width of slot in bottom section of bin. With constant slot width, the rate of supply of alumina is regulated according to the rate of burning and shifting of anode. Lower edge of anode jacket or bell-shaped gas collector is furnished with guillotine for cutting and forcing-through crush of electrolyte. Upper edge of guillotine has loosener of alumina charge. To provide for electric insulation breaks, dielectric spacers are used between supporting surface of cantilever and cathode casing, and also on lower part of internal surface of cantilever incline wall. Cantilever bottom is lined with refractory and heat-insulating materials. Cantilever has working ports with covers for introduction into electrolyte of pipe of vacuum ladle, tools and materials.
