FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy, electrolytic production of aluminum. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to design of device to feed alumina into melt of electrolyzer. Forcing-through members ( punches ) of device to feed alumina are arranged at angle of 5-18 deg to vertical line in direction from side of cathode to anode of aluminium electrolyzer. Relation of distance between anode and axis of punch at point of touch of electrolyte surface to distance side-anode amounts to 0.33-0.12. Releasing members of gas collector may be fitted on its internal surface facing punch with guiding members which working surface is parallel to punch and is located at distance of 0.1-0.5 of its diameter or determining size of section. Punches may have working surface of rectangular section amounting to 0.6- 1.5 area of spot of alumina loaded on to crust.
