FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, namely production of aluminum in cells with self-fired anode and with upper electric current supply lead, possibly cleaning anode gases at increased efficiency of cell sheltering.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of collecting anode gases under gas-collecting bell and gas-air mixture under secondary shelter and supplying them to burner device for combusting. Gas-air mixture is collected at providing its exchange for 85-250 times for 1 h due to reducing volume limited by secondary shelter by means of cryolite-alumina skin of electrolyte and gas collecting bell. Top portion of secondary shelter is secured to upper part of gas-collecting bell.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of collecting electrolysis gases, reduced quantity of emitted non-cleaned gas through aeration guides of electrolysis housing, improved ecological condition in working zone of housing.
