FIELD: radar engineering; applicable in radar sets with a multifrequency sounding signal. SUBSTANCE: the known target identification device is supplemented with an identification unit having the 1-st adder, N-1 additional adders, N-1 full-wave rectifiers, 2-nd adder, division unit and identification unit, and the transceiver is supplemented with N-1 oscillators, N-1 antenna switches, N-1 antennas, N-1 receivers. Such a circuitry provides for an instantaneous multifrequency sounding of target; identification criterion Q used in the offered device depends only on the quantity of scattering centers on the target surface and their relative position, which makes it possible to use it for target identification at any range within the radar detection zone, as well as at any flight speed of the target against the background of reflections from features of terrain. EFFECT: enhanced probability of correct identification of air targets. 1 dwg
