FIELD: manufacture of lead storage cells. SUBSTANCE: nonwoven material is composed of three fibrous layers bonded together, external ones being composed of mixture of 80 mass percent of copolyester fibers of linear density 0.33 tex liable to thermal shrinkage at 190-220 C and 20 mass percent of viscous fibers of linear density 0.31 tex; intermediate layer is of polyester fibers having linear density 0.17 tex. Projections may be made on one side of material throughout entire width of sheet and respective depressions on other side; projections are alternating with flat areas; material density on projections and flat areas is the same.
