FIELD: filtration technics. SUBSTANCE: material for purifying hot, including explosive, gases at temperature up to 220 C is designed to be used in metal and wood working, varnish-and-dye industry, fertilizer and herbicide production, metallurgy, etc. To impart spark extinguishing properties and ensure high efficiency and explosionproofness to filtration process in a material including fibrous layers of synthetic and metal fibers and backing cloth, metal fibers joined by needle-piercing are predominantly contained in the layer facing polluted gas flow in amount from 5 to 100% based on layer weight. The latter is located above two layers of synthetic fibers with intermediate backing cloth. Thickness and/or surface density of the layer containing metal fibers is less than summary thickness and/or surface density of layers of synthetic fibers with intermediate backing cloth.
