FIELD: direct conversion of chemical energy to electric one. SUBSTANCE: electrochemical element is composed of cathode and anode separated by electrolyte. Distinguishing feature of this electrochemical element is preparation of electrolyte with through porosity within limits more than 5.0 and less than 100.0 %. Manufacture of electrolyte from discrete bodies is also possible. Supply of reagents to surface of electrodes and removal of reaction products is carried out over interelectrode gap. Reagent can be fed periodically; first oxidizer, then reductant. Temperature of cathode is kept above temperature of anode. Mixture of reagents is fed under pressure excluding chain chemical reaction in gas phase. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of conversion. 5 dwg
