FIELD: cooling agents. SUBSTANCE: for the first time, vinylpyridine-based special destination ampholytes having specific characteristics when absorbing halogen-substituted alifatic acids and their anhydrides are utilized for cleaning coolants. Cleaning is performed as a single-step process and sorbent can undergo multiple sorption-regeneration cycles. Cleaned coolants pass testing for "mirror", are stable, and do not "sour" when exposed to light for long time (more than 6 months). EFFECT: simplified and enhanced cleaning process. 1 tbl, 2 dwg
