FIELD: solid fuel gasification. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to converting solid carbonaceous fuel by way of affecting it with gasifying agents and may be used, for example, when gasifying coal to produce mixture of different gases. Method consists in loading into high-pressure vessel solid fuel and, interacting with it, gasifying reagents followed by removing volatile gases and solid fractions' outbursts. According to invention, solid fuel, prior to be loaded into high-pressure vessel, is pyrolyzed without sublimation in pyrolysis reactor connected to high-pressure vessel, and interaction of gasifying reagents and fuel being treated is conducted with settling solid fractions on rotating screen disposed inside high- pressure vessel by agency of which solid fractions are discharged from vessel. High-pressure vessel is connected with solid fuel supply source. There are also gas fuel pipelines, those for feeding gasifying reagents and removing volatile gases, and door for discharging solid fractions. High-pressure vessel encloses aforementioned tubular pyrolysis reactor. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process. 5 cl, 3 dwg
