FIELD: production processes.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises feeding the crushed solid fuel and oxidiser into converter, firing and converting fuel mix, followed by removing the conversion gas products, combustion products and solid remnant from the converter. Fuel mix combustion and conversion are carried out in different intercommunicating converter chambers. Note here that fuel is fed into combustion chamber, for firing and combustion, mixed with oxidiser. Note also that the fuel mix is combusted in vortex flow formed in the combustion chamber. Note further that the conversion is realised in the combustion chamber due to interaction of solid fuel particles directed flow coming from the combustion chamber into that of conversion along with a counter flow of oxidiser fed into the converter gasification chamber. The proposed installation comprises converter, device to feed fuel mix into converter, fuel firing device, device to withdraw the conversion gas products, combustion products and solid remnant. The converter accommodates intercommunicating fuel mix combustion chamber housing fuel mix flow swirler and accommodating fuel mix firing and feeding devices mounted on the said chamber. It also comprises solid fuel conversion chamber furnished with additional device designed to feed oxidiser therein. Note that the device designed to withdraw combustion products from the converter incorporates adjustable gate element, while that designed to withdraw the conversion gas products and solid remnant includes adjustable gate elements.
