FIELD: sugar industry. SUBSTANCE: solution containing 45-55% of solid substances is prepared from crude sugar. To solution, activated carbon in amount 0.05-0.15% based on sugar weight is added, whereupon sulfuric acid initiated hydrolysis is conducted at pH 2.0-3.5 and 85-98 C until sucrose is completely split. Neutralization is then performed adding calcium carbonate powder followed by filtration to remove precipitate and clarify hydrolyzate by way of passing the latter through magnesium oxide layer 10-20 mm thick with rate 2-3 cu.m/sq.m. Clarified syrup is complemented with crude sugar to solid substance content 74-76%. Method may find use in alcohol-free beverage and spirit industries, caned food and baking industries. EFFECT: improved process parameters. 2 cl
