FIELD: pulp-and-paper industry. SUBSTANCE: disintegrated cellulose fibrous material is preliminarily treated and then pulped in presence of digesting means including organic solvent and alkali substance, pH value of material being maintained at least neutral. Lignin is then extracted with solvent and exhausted solvent is removed. Treated cellulose fibrous material is washed to remove dissolved lignin and foreign matters. Invention is distinguished with that disintegrated material is preliminarily treated with alkali substance for swelling of fibrous material and improving penetration of solvent therein, and also for raising pH in order to maintain it during the pulping with solvent within a predetermined range.
