FIELD: microwave engineering; heating parts by means of microwave energy. SUBSTANCE: microwave oven has heating chamber formed by shielded strip transmission line whose internal conductor is made in the form of rectangular strip placed in plane halving the chamber in a spaced relation to end walls of chamber and coming in sliding contact with internal conductor of coaxial cable projecting inside heating chamber which is installed in center of one of end walls of heating chamber and connected to microwave oscillator; side walls of heating chamber are opening doors; microwave energy absorber is three-dimensional member with liquid agent in the form of two dielectric tanks with drains placed on and under strip, near other end wall; holders for material to be heated are made of dielectric material and placed on and under strip equidistantly to heating chamber walls; in choosing dimensions of heating chamber, absorbers, and holders, definite conditions should be satisfied depending on microwave oscillator wavelength.
