AUTOMATIC PIPE CUTTER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: metal working industry; cutting o pipes to size with subsequent machining of both ends to remove chambers at full scale and mass production. SUBSTANCE: device has charging arrangement, roller bed, pipe clamping mechanism, cutting head and its drive with drive shaft, spindle rotation kinematic circuit and tool radial feed kinematic circuit. Drive shaft is hollow, with through screw slot. Tool radial feed drive wheel has rectilinear slot and is installed on drive shaft for limited turning relative to shaft. Tool radial feed drive is made in form of hydraulic cylinder with hollow rod-piston. Tie-rod is installed inside hollow rod piston concentrically with drive shaft. Pin installed on end of tie-rod engages with through screw slot of shaft and with rectilinear slot of radial feed drive wheel. Rod-piston is furnished with replaceable stop. End stop is mad adjustable and is secured for required adjustment of setting. Sliders with cutter holders are provided with counterweights made in form of arc and installed diametrically opposite by means of axles on projections of ring bracket installed for rotation on face plate coaxially with the latter. Automatic pipe cutter has two facing heads installed on guides for setting displacement and two clamping arrangements secured on heads. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 3 cl, 7 dwg
