FIELD: testing equipment, determination of tightness of aggregate filled with testing gas to working pressure and placed into container with long-length pipe-line. SUBSTANCE: container is filled through long-length pipe-line with technological gas which contains no testing gas to pressure less than working pressure in aggregate, mixture of gases in container is driven off by mixture of gases from long-length pipeline by reduction of pressure in container by value ^P ensuring replacement of mixture of gases in long-length pipe-line by mixture of gases from container and measuring volume of mixture of gases exhausted from long-length pipe-line by gas meter. Starting concentration of testing gas in container is measured, is maintained in the course of preset time and then pressure in container is decreased again by same value ^P measuring volume of mixture of gases exhausted from long-length pipe-line. Final concentration of testing gas in container is measured, mean arithmetic value of volume of mixture of gases exhausted from long-length pipe-line is found and loss of tightness of aggregate is determined by change of concentration of testing gas in container with allowance for mean arithmetic value of volume of mixture of gases exhausted from long-length pipe-line.
