FIELD: testing equipment. SUBSTANCE: air-tight compartment of aircraft is placed into vacuum chamber connected to aids registering testing gas (helium mixture), for instance, helium leak detector, technological line of vacuum chamber is connected to filling unions of airtight compartment and air is evacuated from vacuum chamber. Gas from technological line is driven into air-tight compartment by its blow-through with testing gas with chosen constant flow rate in the course of specified time. In process of blow-through sudden rise of concentration of testing gas in vacuum chamber is recorded. Immediately after termination of blow-through testing gas is forced out of technological line by relief (evacuation) of gas from air-tight compartment through it with maximal flow rate in the course of specified time. In process of relief sudden decrease of concentration of testing gas in vacuum chamber is registered. Mentioned sequence of operations and registration of peak-like change of concentration of testing gas in vacuum chamber makes it possible to state unambiguously of loss of tightness of technological line in mix of air-tight compartment of aircraft. Registration of mentioned changes of testing gas enables supposition on points of most probable location of loss of air-tightness to be made. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and accuracy of method. 3 dwg
