FIELD: spectral methods of determination of octane numbers of components of motor fuel, laboratory studies and production of components of motor fuel of primary and secondary origin and of their mixtures. SUBSTANCE: proposed method of determination of octane numbers of components of motor fuel of primary and secondary origin includes sampling of oil product, its exposure to electromagnetic radiation, registration of spectrum of proton magnetic resonance. For increase of accuracy and reproducibility of measurement of octane numbers paramagnetism of components of motor fuel is measured in addition and octane number is determined by dependence ON = K + AIa + BIo + CIα + DIβ + EIγ, where K, A, B, C, D, E are constants depending on kind of oil product; Ia, Io, Iα, Iβ, Iγ are integral intensities of spectral NMR-H lines of protons of aromatic nuclei, protons with multiple couplings of unsaturated compounds, protons of saturated compounds and protons in a, b, g positions relative to aromatic nuclei correspondingly extrapolated to zero paramagnetism.
