FIELD: agricultural meteorology, in particular, protection from damage by hail, thunder storm and precipitation control. SUBSTANCE: method involves shooting by antihail jet-propelled missile, which is started from guide; switching on sustainer engine and active reactant generator, with time delays being preliminarily determined; introducing calculated time delays into equipment of jet-propelled missile; initiating reading of these time delays from the moment missile begins its motion; upon termination of operation of sustainer engine, reducing missile drag by 1.5-2 times relative to initial level. Active reactant is generated by directing its flow toward stern and creating tractive force in the direction of motion of missile. Sustainer engine and active reactant switch time delays are determined by dependences: t(se) = t(ste) + t(p) [R(p), V(1)]; t(arg) = t(se) + Δ t [R(d) , V(2)], where t(se) is sustainer engine switch time delay; t(arg) is active reactant generator switch time delay; t(ste) is starting engine operation time; t(p) pause duration from the moment of termination of starting engine operation to switching moment of sustainer engine; R(p) is inclined remoteness from missile starting place to proximate boundary line of area of active reactant distribution; R(d) is inclined remoteness from missile starting place to distal boundary line of area of active reactant distribution; V(1) and V(2) are speeds of motion of missile at the end of operation of starting and sustainer engines, respectively.
