FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves making two additional transverse incisions passing near inferior and superior ends of an incision cutting skin and pretracheal muscles along the neck median line. Muscle flaps are tucked in under their bases. Three cartilaginous rings of the trachea are cut along the median line and two rectangular tracheal flaps are formed by making two transverse cuts between the cartilaginous rings near the inferior and superior ends of the median incision. The flaps are sutured to the skin flaps after the corresponding correction of their sizes is carried out. Constant size of tracheostoma hole is provided due to pretracheal muscles being absent. Breathing tract passability is retained under continuing lateral displacement due to tracheal flap being shifted. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of operation.
