CENTRIFUGAL FILTER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: cleaning lubricants and coolants from suspended particles, chips and other solids. SUBSTANCE: invention provides for use of one drive for filtration of liquid, regeneration of filter element and for reciprocating of shaft-plunger in turning the filter element inside out, for complete removal of sludge from zone of filter element regeneration, as well as for separation of filtration zone and zone of regeneration of filter element. Shaft-plunger, to which upper flange filter element is secured, is provided with thread on which motion nut is screwed. Operation of motion nut is controlled by means of electromagnetic brake. In the course of regeneration of filter element, bed provided with perforated cup inside its turns through 180 deg by means of drive and takes vertical position: with cup downward. During motion of shaft-plunger, filter element is turned inside out, thus bringing sludge outside. Under action of centrifugal and gravitational forces, sludge is separated from surface of filter element getting on sludge removal belt conveyor. During turn of bed to initial position with perforated cup upward, belt conveyor performs reciprocating motion and removes sludge from regeneration zone of filter element.
