METHOD FOR FORMATION OF WASHED-UP LAYER IN DRUM VACUUM FILTER Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: cleaning of lubricant-coolants from solid wastes by filtering, in particular, vacuum filtering; may be used at metal working plants for cleaning of lubricant-coolants from steel slime. SUBSTANCE: method consists in changing of characteristics of flow of lubricant-coolant to be cleaned and containing material for formation of washed-up layer; and its thickness is levelled in the course of filtering by means of knife or hydraulic cutter secured for executing of setting variations. With this aim, the layer is formed simultaneously over the entire filtering surface from own slime wastes contained in cleaned lubricant-coolant by supply directly to zone of filtering the lubricant-coolant to be cleaned with air dissolved in it, for instance, by ejection of liquid at least below the level of immersion of filter drum. To form washed-up layer simultaneously over the entire filtering surface, drum of vacuum filter is installed for rotation below the level of liquid to be cleaned. In so doing, drum shaft is arranged horizontally or vertically. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 cl, 2 dwg
