METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF INGOTS WITH PARALLEL GENERATRICES OF SIDE SURFACES Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: foundry; production of ingots of bushing type, long castings with cast tooth and other profiles. SUBSTANCE: method and mold for ingot production in dry loose supporting filler with removed pattern upon filling whose generatrices of side surfaces are parallel consist in that pattern is used constant, dose of liquid metal is poured through funnel of pouring gate bowl closing pattern upper part, onto pattern end face. After covering of pattern end face with liquid metal, molding is effected by removal of pattern from dry loose supporting filler along the above generatrices. Removal of pattern is carried out with variable rate preventing free motion of liquid metal. Molding is effected by submersion of short pattern into dry loose supporting filler with the help of bar having holder. In ingots having additional shaped part, this part is produced by the method of liquid stamping. For ingots having screw members on side surface, removal or submersion of pattern is carried out with its rotation over the similar screw member. Dry loose supporting filler is used with temperature above 30 C and gas permeability of less than 180 units. Bottom plate of flask has slot to pass pattern. EFFECT: extended field of application of the method of production of castings in mold with dry loose supporting filler with removable pattern in pouring of liquid metal and cut down cost of castings. 13 cl, 11 dwg
