FIELD: casting of aluminum alloys with use of gasifiable patterns, possibly in aviation technique and automobile manufacture.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of assembling patterns and members of gating system; applying gas - permeable anti-burning coating onto pattern; molding pattern in casting mold in sand and pouring metal into casting mold; using coating containing, mass %: 2% solution of polyvinyl butyral in isopropyl alcohol, 38 -49; drying oil, 1 - 2; marshalite, the balance. Thickness of coating is in range 0.1 - 0.3 mm.
EFFECT: possibility for producing high-quality shaped castings with improved mechanical properties, enhanced operational reliability, increased useful life period of articles of aluminum alloys.
