FIELD: mechanical engineering; electric arc welding with consumable electrode. SUBSTANCE: single-phase rectifier with electronic current control provides high stability of welding process at welding with low currents of 15-90 A which makes it possible to weld thin-sheet structures, thickness 0.8-1.5 mm, of carbon and high alloy steels with electrodes, diameter of 2.6-3.25 mm. When welding metal of larger thickness quality of weld joint is increased owing to dynamic action of arc onto welding pool, increase in penetration depth and improved metal crystallization conditions. Ease of arc striking and high stability of arc, insignificant losses of metal for sputtering and high power characteristics, wide range of smooth regulation and convenience in operation make it possible to advantageously use rectifier under any operating conditions at home, small plants, automobile repair shops and in fitter's jobs. Single-phase has transformer, thyristor rectifier with control and injection unit, phase control device, two threshold devices, and symmetrical thyristor with control unit and delay line.
