FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves addition of oxalate ions to solution of potassium tetrachloroplatinate (II) and mixture is treated successively with solutions of ammonia, isopropylamine and hydrochloric acid. Cis-dichloroamminisopropylamineplatinum (II) prepared by this method does not contain impurity of cis-dichlorodiamminplatinum (II), cis-dichlorodiisopropylamineplatinum (II) and potassium chloride. The yield of the end product is 47%. Synthesized pure cis-dichloroamminisopropylamineplatinum (II) is used in medicine as antitumor drug of the II-d and III-d generations. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis.
