FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: earth dam has body of non-cohesive ground, low-permeable counter-filtration device, and drain collectors with longitudinal incline located on impermeable diaphragms hermetically conjugated with counter-filtration device at side of tail water, and connected with water measuring and water intake devices. Impermeable diaphragms are arranged in tiers in dam body and in sections from counter-filtration device up to impermeable diaphragm they are inclined. Length of horizontal projection of each impermeable diaphragm d is larger than d>Δh•m_l, where Δh - vertical distance between tiers, m_l - contour interval of lower face of inclined low-permeable counter-filtration device.
